Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had some emergency renovations going on that affected various amenities like the restaurants, bar, and beachfront access, which was a bit inconvenient. However, the room I stayed in was clean and nicely furnished, giving a great view of the ocean or park/Diamond Head.
I loved my stay at New Otani. The room was always spotless when I returned from the beach, but it was a bit small. The service was excellent; the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was outstanding, right on Kaimana Beach and close to the hustle and bustle. The dining was pricey but worth it. The facilities were great, and the hotel is a sweet spot if you want to be away from the crowded Waikiki Beach area.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were quite spacious for the price, especially the ones with a 'city view,' but I encountered problems with the bathroom sink. The service was excellent, with staff actually taking time to value customers, but there was a small hiccup when a valet attendant took an unexpected break. The location was a strong point, being a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki with a great swimming beach, but it was a bit far from the high volume area. Dining was pleasant with stunning sunrises and sets from the oceanfront room, yet the available options were limited till 10 am. Facilities were generally satisfying.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious, had refrigerators, and even a proper drip coffee maker where I could enjoy my favorite Hawaiian breakfast. However, the rooms were a bit smallish, but the prices were reasonable. The location was fabulous, near Diamond Head and across from Kapiolani Park, giving me a taste of old Waikiki charm. The service was top-notch, with efficient and accommodating staff who never seemed to take a break. The dining was outstanding, especially at the beachside restaurant with incredible food and service. Overall, a fantastic experience with just a few minor drawbacks.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, primarily because of its peaceful location just a short walk from the bustling areas of Waikiki and Honolulu. The room was spacious, clean, and had a very comfortable bed, making it a perfect retreat. The service was friendly and accommodating, although a bit slow. The dining was good but on the expensive side. The hotel facilities were well-maintained and added to my overall experience.
The hotel has a fantastic location on Sans Souci Beach in Honolulu, offering a beautiful and quiet environment. The rooms are a bit small, lacking some amenities like a microwave and coffee maker, but the view from our room makes up for it. Driving back to the main highway can be a bit challenging.
